SWIM TEAM COMMITTEE

A. Purpose
To establish, organize and oversee all matters pertaining to the
Greenmeadow Swim Team. The Swim Team Committee works closely with the
Board and Administrative Manager to coordinate pool use and schedule
for swim meets and practices. The Administrative Manager has ultimate
authority over pool safety. Swim team coaches must have, as a
minimum, the same qualifications that GMCA requires of its
lifeguards. Coaches' paperwork must be submitted to the
Administrative Manager prior to hire by the Swim Team.

C. Functions and Responsibilities

Responsible for the selection, hiring, direction, disciplining, and
firing of the coaching staff.

Responsible for the setting and collection of swim team dues.

Establish an annual budget for the team and to maintain accurate
financial records.

Provide the necessary data to the Greenmeadow treasurer to enable
him/her to administer the payroll for swim team coaches and staff in
accordance with state and federal law.

Coordinate with the Aquatics Committee the hours of
use for swim team practices and meets.

Oversee the operation of the swim team and to represent the
Greenmeadow Swim Team with the Junipero Serra Swim League.

Ensure adequate insurance is maintained and provide paperwork to GMCA
prior to swim session.
Any assistance from the Administrative Manager must be approved by the
President of the Board.
D. Composition
Composed of a chair and co-chair and one to six additional members.
At least one member of the swim team committee shall serve on the Aquatics Committee.
