Civic Affairs Committee
The Greenmeadow Community Association's long-standing relationship with
local government is a valuable asset. Our Civic Affairs Committee works
with the Cubberley Community Center, the Palo Alto Unified School District,
the City Council, the City Planning Commission, the Police Department and
other city agencies to address issues that concern Greenmeadow and to keep
our residents up to date on city-wide matters. Members of the Civic
Affairs Committee also serve on a joint coalition of representatives from
several south Palo Alto community associations for the purpose of
maintaining a dialogue with the City Planning Commission and various south
Palo Alto commercial interests regarding building development. The Civic
Affairs Committee also schedules pre-election forums and meet-the-candidate
nights in the GMCA Community Center for Greenmeadow and other south Palo
Alto residents.
